The story in one line

A woman who lived with PMDD for years before it had a name taught herself to build the women's health app she couldn't find: for all conditions, with your data kept on your phone.

Three ways to tell it.

Believed.

Too many women haven't been believed at the appointment. The app turns weeks of symptoms into one clear, doctor-ready report, so she can walk in with trust and confidence.

Private by design.

Health apps ask for a lot of trust. This one is built so it doesn't need yours: entries stay on the phone, and we never receive them.

Every body.

For all conditions, and made to fit each person: 17 colours, dyslexia-friendly fonts, four text sizes, higher contrast, larger tap targets and Listen.

The founder.

Sarah Hughes, founder of The Veda Circle, smiling and seated in a rust-coloured outfit

Sarah Hughes lived with PMDD for years before she had a name for it. With no development background, she taught herself to build The Veda Circle from scratch, because she couldn't find a women's health app that felt like it was actually built for her. She is building it from Malta.

I believe every woman should be able to walk into her doctor's appointment with trust, confidence, and power. Too many women haven't been believed. It's time to change that.Sarah Hughes, founder

What early testers say.

I really like that this app is more than just a symptom tracker, it compiles information into an easy to read format useful for sharing with your doctor. The design is soft, calming and visually pleasing, and I appreciate that it is customizable even down to setting or cancelling reminders.

Karen Baker, early tester

I love having an app that caters to my overall wellbeing, bringing everything together in one place. From keeping notes following doctor’s appointments to tracking my menstrual cycle, moods and dietary habits, it gives me a clearer picture of my health and daily patterns. I love being able to look back, monitor my progress and better understand how my day-to-day habits affect my overall wellbeing.

If you're sharing it.

Please

  • Say clearly if a post is paid or gifted.
  • Describe it as a way to track and understand your body, and to prepare for appointments.
  • Show your own colour and your own settings. That is the point.

Please don't

  • Say it diagnoses, treats or cures anything, or calls itself medical advice. It doesn't.
  • Share anyone else's health information in a post.
  • Say your data is private in ways we haven't: entries stay on the phone, and only an anonymous subscription check goes online.
