What perimenopause is

Perimenopause is the transition before your periods stop. Hormones rise and fall unevenly, so cycles, sleep, mood and temperature can all change, sometimes from one week to the next. It can start in your 40s, or earlier for some people.

Why a record helps

Because symptoms can change so much from week to week, it is hard to remember them accurately. A simple daily record shows what is really happening, and gives your doctor something clear to look at.

What you can record in The Veda Circle

  • Hot flushes or night sweats
  • How you slept last night
  • Your mood
  • Anything else you want to remember, in your own words, alongside your cycle

Taking it to your appointment

The doctor-ready report is built from your own entries for the dates you choose. Share it, print it or save it as a PDF.

When to get help

Periods are still possible during perimenopause, so you may still need contraception if you do not want a pregnancy, until your doctor says otherwise. Bleeding that is very heavy, lasts longer than usual, or happens after sex or between periods is worth raising with a doctor.
